Green tea (Camellia sinensis) leaves dry extract 98% of total polyphenols
and 40% epigallocatechingallate (equal to 4 cps, respectively, 302.6 mg and 192.5 mg)
Green tea has been studied for several years because of the effects on health and longevity of populations who use it regularly in large quantities. Epigallocatechingallate (EGCG) is the catechin to which many studies have attributed an outstanding role in the beneficial effects of green tea, so the best green tea extracts have a high percentage of this substance.
In short  EGCG decreases the excess of cyclooxygenase (COX-2) which is implicated in cancers such as prostate cancer. It also affects the expression of PSA (or prostate-specific antigen) that is involved in various cancerous processes, including metastasis. It regulates genes involved in lipid oxidation and in the creation of adipose tissue, lowering insulin resistance and blood glucose and thus proving to be an effective treatment for the prevention of diabetes and obesity. It protects the cardiovascular system by acting as an antioxidant, antithrombotic, and lowering cholesterol levels.
The other catechins and polyphenols play similar actions and strengthen synergically the EGCG activity, so it is advisable to use an extract rich in EGCG, but containing other useful components extracted from the green tea leaves.
Milk thistle (Sylibum Marian) fruit dry extract 80% silymarin (equivalent to 247 mg for 4 cps)
Silymarin is a complex of flavonoids (silybin, silydianin and silycristin) has long been known as an effective liver protector, for this purpose is used pure to treat alcoholism and drug addiction problems (hepatic cirrhosis, alcoholic fatty liver, liver poisoning, viral hepatitis ). It protects liver cells against damages induced by ischemia, radiation, iron overload and toxins. It also seems to act against insulin resistance, and is being tested its anti-cancer, as well as cardioprotective activity and against kidney and pancreas  problems. Silymarin leads to the production of endogenous antioxidants in amounts far greater than could be done with various supplements, acting on enzymes such as glutathione peroxidase, catalase and SOD (superoxide dismutase).
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) root dry extract 95% curcumin (equivalent to 293.4 mg for 4 cps)
One of the most studied plants in recent years for anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects occurring at different levels and in various tissues of the human body is surely turmeric. Particular attention was paid to curcumin, its principal active ingredient. We recall here that curcumin protects cells from free radicals with many diverse activities, stimulates the immune response, regulates TGF-beta that is an important factor in oncogenesis, blocks the action of carcinogenic compounds similar to estrogens, and that of nitrosamine and other toxic substances, inhibits COX-2 and lipoxygenase, preventing inflammatory effects. It also seems to have the effectiveness of aspirin as an anti-inflammatory, which is more effective than selenium and vitamins A and D3 as well as the same green tea to lead to apoptosis in cancer cells (studies “in vitro”). It blocks in fact the development of cancer cells in the early stages of development and is active in reducing angiogenesis by acting on tumural enzymes AP-1 and metalloproteinases. It is also active against HIV (AIDS) and in the prevention of strokes and heart attacks, as well as in reducing cholesterol (stimulating the secretion of bile).
Poligonum cuspidatum root dry extract 98% trans-resveratrol (equivalent to 202, 7 mg of trans-resveratrol)
Trans-resveratrol is the protagonist of many recent studies on longevity. This stilbene is an antioxidant used by some plants (as the wine grape) to defend themselves against parasites, but it seems to act in multiple ways on animals and humans. In particular, acting on the SIR genes (the so-called "sirtuins") and emulating the effects on longevity that occur with calorie restriction.
It is active as antioxidant against various forms of free radicals, preventing oxidation of LDL (the so-called "bad" cholesterol). It also inhibits platelet aggregation, thinning  blood and blocking  thrombin and other coagulation factors. It has been found to be active in the  production of NO (nitric oxide) a compound that leads to arterial dilation and relaxation. Trans-resveratrol reduces the circulating cholesterol and triglycerides, as well as endothelin. Like turmeric, it stops cancer cells in the early stages of development. It has antitumor activity on a variety of diseases. It also reduces the negative effects of diet too rich in linoleic acid (omega 6). It hasn’t any destructive effect on healthy cells, showing, on the contrary, a protective activity on them. Moreover, some recent studies have found it to be active as antioxidant on brain cells whose oxidative stress eventually leads to degeneration. A recent chinese study also showed the protective effect of resveratrol against inflammation of the spinal cord (similar to the action of the drug prednisone, but with greater antioxidant protection).
Ashwagandha-Withania (Withania somnifera) root dry extract (154.5 mg for 4 cps) 2.5% withanolides (equal to 3.86 mg to 4 cps)
Ashwaganda is one of the best-known plants of Ayurvedic medicine, the traditional Indian medicine and is used as tonic, energizer, anti-aging, and against insomnia, stress, mental fatigue and sexual impotence.
These traditional practices have also been confirmed by recent studies that detected a powerful antioxidant activity of withanolides which would increase SOD (superoxide dismutase) and glutathione peroxidase activity in the frontal cortex and in corpus striatum.
In addition an effect against brain lipid peroxidation has been reported in animals treated with colchicine (a potent neurotoxin) repairing  the damage in just three weeks of administration of Withania somnifera. In particular, the Withaferina A, an active alkaloid of Ashwagandha, showed a potent anti-inflammatory activity against arthritis without side effects. 
Besides fighting inflammation with results similar to cortisol, this substance showed febrifugal, analgesic and anti-stress properties. It is therefore regarded as an adaptogenic plant useful against nervousness, stress, anxiety and mental fatigue.
Quercetin 154.4 mg (4 cps)
It 's a known flavonoid that inhibits the enzymes cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase, reducing other inflammatory substances such as histamine, prostaglandins and bradykinin. Its action on the digestive tract reduces reactions to food allergens and also improves the absorption of other substances such as trans-resveratrol. A study published on the important scientific journal "The Lancet” showed that quercetin taken for 5 years on a sample of no less than 890 people has significantly reduced the risk of cardiovascular problems. It also enhances the action of vitamin C.
Grapes (Vitis vinifera) seed dry extract, 101.9 mg, 95% proanthocyanidins (equivalent to 96.8 mg for 4 cps)
Oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC) belong to the vast family of bioflavonoids, natural substances that in recent studies have revealed very high antioxidant  and healing properties. OPC are a unique example of biologically active antioxidants tested pharmacologically and clinically, specific for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Even more remarkable are the antioxidant properties that some studies have shown similar to those of two enzymes involved in fighting oxidative damage as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase. Moreover, the strong scavaging power of OPC against free radicals was found to be at the basis of  their vasoprotective activity.
In addition the OPC inhibit  non-competitively the enzyme xanthine oxidase that promotes the formation of anion superoxide, with a potency comparable to that of the drug allopurinol.
Bioperine ® (Piper nigrum) fruit dry extract 95% piperine (equal to 9.7 mg for 4 cps)
The Bioperine ® is a standardized piperine extract obtained from black pepper (Piper nigrum fam.Piperaceae). Black pepper is used in a variety of products to treat fevers, digestive disorders, urinary difficulties, rheumatism, neuralgia and tremor. Bioperine ® contains many more active ingredients of black pepper than those contained in the raw pepper assumed. Bioperine ® increases the absorption rate of many substances, including vitamins, minerals, amino acids and anti-oxidants, and in particular that of curcumin (reportedly elevating it to 2000%) making the other active ingredients more effective. Recently it was discovered that piperine could inhibit  5-alpha reducatse type II, which is the same isoform of the enzyme that is inhibited by the drug finasteride.


The dosage 2 - 4 capsules per day can modulate the intake of this supplement in relation to the actual individual needs and response. The lower daily dose (2 cps) may be suitable for young people not subject to particular stress, as well as the maintenance dose after the initial treatment, while the mean (3 cps) and the highest dose (4 cps) is recommended for the over 35-40, and for those who practice sports more or less intensely, at any age.
